Deadline for prospective buyers of the trout fishery business set at March 15

The futures of Draycote, Eyebrook and Thornton trout fisheries are on hold until a buyer for the business can be found.

The Fishery Management Limited board, appointed after the death of Ifor Jones, owner and manager of Draycote, Eyebrook and Thornton fisheries, have made a further announcement regarding the future of the fisheries, and regarding any outstanding creditors of Fishery Management Limited, after it took the decision to close the business.

The board announced on March 4 that “in the interim period prior to the liquidator’s appointment every effort is being made to secure the future of the fisheries and achieve the best outcome for creditors”. The board has also asked “all creditors, stakeholders, members and wider community to extend their patience and support whilst we seek the best possible outcome for these important fisheries
and all involved”.

To that effect, the board has engaged the services of a specialist independent agent, SIA Group, to advise the board and manage the process. SIA is an asset valuation and auction house, which specialises in business acquisitions, restructuring and recovery.
The board stressed that further details of the insolvency process will be communicated to creditors shortly following the conclusion of the efforts to market the business and assets for sale.

To this end, any parties interested in acquiring the business and assets are asked to contact Kevin Counihan kevin.counihan@sia-group.co.uk
of SIA Group on to register their interest by no later than March 15, 2024.
