Angling Trust fundraiser sees many, varied game fishing lots in the list of donations
Fishing on the Derbyshire Derwent features in the list of lots.
The Angling Trust’s online auction has less than two weeks to go before the final gavel is brought down.
Bidding for the 160+ lots is already well underway – but there is still time to beat any of the bids.
Whilst there is something to suit every angling discipline, game fishing lots feature heavily.
Lots include:
• 2 rods stalking and casting on the Itchen at Abbott’s Worthy (guide price £450)
• 2 rods on the Bourne Rivulet, as described by Plunket Greene in Where the Bright Waters Meet, for wild brown trout (£400)
• 1 week on the river Ness club water (£170)
• 2 days brown trout fishing on 18 miles of the Wharfe (£200)
• 2 rods salmon fishing for the day on the Wye, at Weirend – famous for spring fish (£60).
Also up for auction are fly fishing on the Nidd; salmon fishing on the Usk and Exe; club memberships; fishing on the Ure, the Axe, Pang, upper Avon, Wylye, Darent, and Derbyshire’s Noe; a week on Cumbria’s river Ellen; 3 rods on Tweed at Carham; a day on the Tyne, and also the Wear; a day on the Ericht; two nights on the Conwy; a guided day on the Darwen, the Rye, Pickering Beck, and the Derbyshire Derwent; grayling fishing on the Frome, or Welsh Dee; club water donations, day tickets and memberships, including Buxton and Bradford City; loch and lake fishing; a day on the Dove; and chalkstream salmon fishing on the lower Test.
Also included are days with angling celebrities, and tackle bids.
Money raised from this auction is ploughed back to support the work of the Angling Trust and Fish Legal.
Auction closes on Sunday, March 24.
