Thornton to reopen on May 20

The popular Leicestershire fishery will open for bank and boat fishing tomorrow from 7.30am (bank) with the boats going out at 8.30am.

The fishery will operate under new operating guidelines to comply with social distancing and to prevent the potential spread of Covid-19, including regular disinfection, wearing of protective gear, and access to hand sanitiser.

All anglers must pre-book and pre-pay through a call to the lodge, booking also includes including season permit holders. Only one person is allowed per boat, unless partnered by husband/ wife/ partner, parent or child who live at the same house. The number of bank anglers is limited to a maximum of ten. Tickets will be available for pick up outside the lodge, using a one-way system. The lodge and toilets will be closed. All other government Covid-19 guidelines will be in force.
