Wild Trout Trust seeks Conservation Officer

Can you deliver river habitat improvement projects?

Experienced in the management and improvement of river habitat, and live in southern England?

Then there’s an opportunity to join the Wild Trout Trust (WTT) as a Conservation Officer.

WTT is looking for an individual who is highly motivated, practically savvy, and good at lone and team working, with practical project management experience in the field of conservation, land and fishery management (especially for salmonid fisheries), with good communication skills and an ability to organise themselves and others, along with an aptitude for identifying and winning sources of project funding.

The job, described by another Conservation Officer, Andy Thomas, as ‘My Dream Job’ involves offering advice and practical help to WTT’s many stakeholders and delivering river habitat improvement projects at a range of scales. It provides a salary of around £30,000 pa, negotiable, based on experience and hours of work, initially as a twelve-month contract, with success in the post ensuring an extension.
