Wild stream open days on Lugg and Arrow

There are still a few spaces left on the hugely popular Lugg and Arrow Fisheries Association's Wild Stream Open Day on May 13. This year's event will be run from the Radnorshire Arms in Presteigne and will again feature some of the Lugg and Arrow's top wild stream beats. The days offer an opportunity to get to grips with small and tricky sections of river, with tips and guidance from local volunteer experts that have been fishing on some of these beats for years. While novices are welcome, this event is more suited to those that have fly-fished before, as it's not solely casting instruction, but a day spent with volunteer guides.

There is an optional second day of self-guided fishing for an extra £10.

All of the fishing will be in the area local to Presteigne, and includes some of the best wild stream fishing on offer. For those wishing to come from further afield, there is plenty of accommodation nearby, with more details on the Fishing Passport website.
