Fishing coaches wanted in Wales

Fishing for Schools (F4S) is looking for qualified angling coaches to join its team in Wales, delivering F4S courses to children and young people between the ages of 10-16 throughout the country.

The coaching is run on a self-employed, part-time basis, typically during term time, on a minimum of five days per school year, with hours dependent on the number of schools engaged. All coaches need a Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Angling, 1st4sport Level 2 Sport England accreditation or an equivalent.

Fishing for Schools founder and director Charles Jardine said: “They need to be passionate about fishing and the countryside as well as environmental issues, have a confident, warm and welcoming manner with natural authority and be alert and adaptable.

“The job satisfaction that comes from helping children of all backgrounds and abilities to succeed is incredible but you will also need to be able to manage difficult situations with challenging young people.”

To apply, send your CV and covering letter to fishing@ca-foundation.org  by Friday October 11. Further enquiries, tel. 020 7840 9212.
