30th Scottish Game Fair this weekend!

Don’t forget! It’s the 30th Scottish Game Fair this weekend! Let’s face it, it’s going to be too bright for fishing!

FF&FT is hosting a marquee holding a number of fly-fishing related businesses, including Simba rods - from Crieff; fishing agents MacIntyre & Thompson; Chevron Hackles, with Jerry Lee tying on the stand; Fordham & Wakefield, the Lee Wulff fly line stockists; and No 9 Chef Services, which caters for sporting lodges, along with many others.

FF&FT magazine will also be there, along with fly tyers/columnists, Tomas Kolesinskas and Allan Liddle, Editor Mark Bowler, Advertising Manager, Pat Camber and Subscriptions Manager, Lynn Powell. Look out for our free draw and subscriptions offers, or come into the the marquee for a look around, test some gear, and a chat.

The showground hosts 500 individual traders, and new elements to the show include a new standalone cookery theatre, a free Junior Macnab competition for young people, bush-crafts and countryside skills, and the main ring programme includes birds of prey, terrier racing, working hill ponies, Clwyd Axemen, Dog ‘n’ Duck Show, Classic Land Rover parade, and more.

Elsewhere, the Four Nations International Gundog competition, returns to Scone There will also be many ‘have-a-go’ opportunities around the site for trying archery, scurry, clays and fly-casting – all under the watchful eye of the experts.
