Two of us are going to FBA one day meeting on Saturday 11th May - basicically a fly recognition type day.  We are looking for somewhere to fish on the sunday and possibly monday too depending on weather and fishing conditions.  We like river fishing and wonder if any locals or people who have visited have any suggestions.  Trout dry fly are our usual fare on the Derwent, Dove and Manifold in Derbyshire.

all comments welcome

Thanks

Unfortunately I don’t have details of where to get tickets but I know there is day ticket fishing on the R. Lowther.

There is also day ticket water available on the Eden. Last time I fished it the ticket came from John Norris in Penrith. If you give them a call they will be able to put you onto some appropriate fishing.

Cheers,
C.

Crackaig is right, John Norris’s is a good place to head for, they have a lot of info about fishing in the area, including tickets for sections of river on the ‘Go Wild’ scheme ran by The Eden Rivers Trust.

Penrith Anglers sell day tickets for most of their water at

Day Tickets for the Penrith Anglers waters are avilable from Sykes in Penrith, it John Norris.

There are other locations to buy permits.  Look at the Penrith Anglers website for more details
