NASF is the focus at EWF

Orri Vigfússon of the North Atlantic Salmon Fund (NASF) is to make a keynote address during this year's Experience the World of Fly Fishing (EWF) event near Munich. The subject Mr Vigfússon's address, and subsequent panel discussion, will be The Future of Wild Atlantic Salmon in Europe. In addition, a raffle will be held with prizes exceeding €65,000 (c£54,000) in value. The funds raised by the raffle will go to the work of NASF and to the Ambulant Children’s Hospice in Munich.

On the panel are Dr. Marion Mertens (Switzerland), professor for fish biology at the Basel University and author of The Salmon Returns; Otmar Grober (Austria), internationally known and recognised river administrator; and Andrew Hogg (Scotland and Austria), expert for aquaculture and scientific advisor for the Austrian Fishing Society.

Held this coming weekend (March 29-30) at the Event Forum Fürstenfeld in Fürstenfeldbruck, the show is in its ninth year and will feature around 100 exhibitors and 35 internationally renowned fly casters and fly tyers from over 20 countries. There will also be a 'Special Program' for ladies and beginners to introduce them to the sport.
